![]() ![]() Sure, Resident Evil took from the same Romero zombie movies as The Walking Dead did, but it's really only been interested in using them to do zombie apocalypse world stories. I'm not really sure that comparison between the two is all that useful because they have nothing in common besides zombies, and even then, the way they use zombies is so vastly different. However, TWD has a shitload of zombies, but the real threat is other groups of evil humans, other humans with different beliefs, or other humans who are trying to survive and become cannibalistic freaks and hunt down & kill other humans. RE has a lot more going on in its belt, with the additional of all the B.O.W.'s and different type of mutant infected freaks. So I wanted to ask what you guys think, which realm of the zombie world is more dangerous and unsettling? Nemesis, Tyrant, Infected Wesker, Lisa Trevor, Dogs, huge worms, huge plants, and dangerous crows. Now imagine if there were Crimson Heads present in the world of The Walking Dead, I'm sure Rick Grimes and his crew would be struggling a lot worse. If anything, the strongest zombies of the series can easily be the ones in the REmake because of their added features of becoming Crimson Heads. RE2 had the easiest, most predictable, and stupid zombies. In contrast, we can compare TWD zombies to RE2 zombies. The zombies in TWD are your average zombie, but I think they're a lot slower, stupider, and as you progress through TWD you don't really feel like the zombies are a threat anymore. ![]() Geez I was only like 10 years old in 2002.Īnyways, after watching 5 seasons of The Walking Dead, it is evident that the real threat of The Walking Dead isn't really the zombies themselves, but the people. ![]() He's a Sheriff from some city/state and it kinda reminded me of the ending of the first RE movie in 2002 when Alice (Milla Jovovich) wakes up in a hospital and walks out half naked with a loaded shotgun and the movie ends. Literally, TWD starts off with a cop guy named Rick who woke up in a concussion and he's in the hospital of a dead, zombie infested city and Rick Grimes just starts off looking for his family. Although I will admit that TWD is a good show, I could not help but compare it to Resident Evil at times because of the whole zombie survival horror fiasco.įrom what I've seen, The Walking Dead has no explanation for how there is a zombie apocalypse. I don't see much discussion about this, but "The Walking Dead" is like one of the most popular TV shows (and comics) right now due to its interesting story, character development, action, and drama. ![]()
